Promising a return to “fiscally responsible initiatives,” the Agriculture Department ended two Biden-era programs that paid farmers to provide food to schools and low-income families.

The program allowed the North Texas Food Bank to buy produce and meat from local Texas farmers instead of larger companies. Now, that will all come to an end.

The grant was used to help disadvantaged farmers get up and running while providing foods to vulnerable populations.
