The Los Angeles Rams had the most challenging week of any team in the playoffs, including the Los Angeles Chargers. However, one team folded, and one team rose to the occasion when the city needed it the most.

On Monday night, the Rams provided a welcomed, albeit temporary escape for their fans who are dealing with the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles. Led by a dominant defensive effort, the Rams took a 24-3 halftime lead en route to a 27-9 win over the Vikings in the NFC wild-card round.

For the Rams, the game's location, SoFi Stadium or not, quickly became secondary to what is happening in their home city.

A Los Angeles Rams official told USA TODAY Sports that roughly 30 members of the organization (coaches, players and staff members) evacuated their homes due to the fires. The Rams had an understandable reason to be distracted versus the Minnesota Vikings at State Farm Stadium on Monday night.

The Los Angeles Rams have had far from a normal last week. Still, they continue to play some of their best football of the season.

Under incredibly difficult and unprecedented circumstances, Los Angeles Rams fans made the trek from Southern California to Arizona to see their team take on the Minnesota Vikings in the wild-card round.
