Nissan is recalling more than 480,000 of its vehicles across the U.S. and Canada due to potential manufacturing defects that could cause engine failure.

Nissan is recalling 443,899 vehicles in the U.S. due to an engine failure, the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said on Wednesday. The company identified a potential manufacturing defect in some engine components in the vehicles,

Nissan said in its announcement that a failed engine can lead to a “loss of motive power" and increase the risk of a crash.
