Sources tell cleveland.com that the Cavs and Nance agreed on a one-year contract for the veteran’s minimum early Tuesday evening — a deal that brings the 32-year-old Akron native back to the franchise where his father became a legend and where Junior spent three full seasons before asking for a trade in the summer of 2021.

The Cleveland Cavaliers have agreed to a one-year deal with Larry Nance Jr ., sources confirmed to ESPN.

New Orleans originally acquired Nance in February 2022 as part of the CJ McCollum trade with the Portland Trail Blazers. Portland originally acquired the seven-year veteran from the Cavaliers in August 2021 as part of a three-team sign-and-trade deal that also included the Chicago Bulls.
