Phillies acquire lefty Jesús Luzardo in trade with Marlins
After an unsuccessful pursuit to make changes to their lineup, the Phillies are doubling down on their rotation. They have acquired lefty Jesús Luzardo from the Miami Marlins, the team announced Sunday. With Luzardo, the Phillies could form one of the best — if not the best — rotations in baseball next season.

MIAMI — The Phillies acquired left-hander Jesús Luzardo from the Miami Marlins on Sunday, the team announced. Miami received two prospects, outfielder Emaarion Boyd and infielder Starlyn Caba. Philadelphia also acquired catcher Paul McIntosh in the trade.
