Tyrese Maxey scored 37 points but the shorthanded Sixers, who were without Joel Embiid and Paul George among others, had no answer for Giannis Antetokounmpo and Co. down the stretch.

The 76ers have lost four consecutive games and seven of their last nine. They are nine games below .500 (15-24) in the Eastern Conference. The critics see darkness all around the Sixers. But Paul George views their season differently.
