In Sherrone Moore's first season coaching Michigan, the Wolverines end the season with an 8-5 record. But it wasn't all that bad. The Wolverines' offense was pretty inept for most of the season. But the Michigan defense continued to get better and the Wolverines beat all of their rivals,

The Wolverines started the year playing Alabama on Jan. 1 at the Rose Bowl, but with both teams starting anew with brand new head coaches, they both fell short of expectations and are playing again on Dec. 31, New Year’s Eve, at the ReliaQuest Bowl in Tampa.

Alabama football was heavily favored and had every advantage in the ReliaQuest Bowl, and still flopped in a turnover-filled loss to Michigan.
