The lightning-caused wildfire that consumed roughly 70 structures seemed unremarkable for days. High winds changed that.

The Dragon Bravo Fire started as a speck far from the developed area of the North Rim of the Grand Canyon to consuming it days later.

Fire crews expected to continue using aircraft to support ground crews on northern Arizona wildfires, according to InciWeb, a wildfire tracker.

Two wildfires continue to burn near the Grand Canyon; the White Sage Fire has burned nearly 53,000 acres and is 4% contained.

So far, Sky Harbor has measured 0.16 inches of rainfall to date, compared to a normal of 0.38 inches. The entirety of the 0.16″ occurred on July 2 when monsoon storms rolled into the Valley!
