A man is dead after being shot at a home in central Phoenix Sunday night. Officers responded to the area near 27th and Campbell avenues around 7:45 p.m. for reports of a shooting. When they arrived, police found a large group of people and a man on the ground who was shot.

The victim, 32-year-old Edi Ruiz, was found suffering a gunshot wound in his apartment, according to Phoenix police.

Michael Miller, 35, is suspected of first-degree murder in the death of Joseph Gaona, according to police and jail records. On Dec. 20, patrol officers responded to the area of North 32nd Street and East Paradise Lane and found Gaona with a gunshot wound,

Two 18-year-olds have been arrested for allegedly being involved in the murder of a 17-year-old boy in Phoenix on Dec. 23. Anthony Rabadan was shot to death near 51st Avenue and McDowell Road. Phoenix police said robbery was likely the motive.
