Family, friends and colleagues are gathering Monday afternoon to lay former Arkansas Governor James “Jim” Guy Tucker to rest.

Many remembered the life and legacy of former Arkansas governor, lieutenant governor, attorney general, U.S. congressman and prosecuting attorney Jim Guy Tucker as he was laid to rest Monday. Tucker stepped into the office of governor in 1992 after Bill Clinton became president.

Former Arkansas Gov. Jim Guy Tucker, who was forced from office in the wake of the Whitewater investigation, has died.

He was among those targeted by the investigation that consumed much of Bill Clinton’s presidency. But his conviction was later questioned.

Jim Guy Tucker, Arkansas’ 43rd governor, died Thursday at the age of 81. Tucker died from complications of ulcerative colitis, said Lance Alworth Jr., his stepson.

The funeral service for Arkansas Governor Jim Guy Tucker is scheduled for Monday, February 24 at the Second Presbyterian Church according to KATV. Tucker served as the Governor of Arkansas from 1992 to 1996. Governor Sarah Sanders ordered all state flags to fly at half-staff in honor of late Governor Tucker.
