ICC Champions Trophy is just around the corner, with every team hoping to hit the ground running when the eight-team tournament begins from February 19.

Tickets for the India-Pakistan match were all sold out once again on Sunday after the ICC announced more passes would be available. This time, fans beat last time's record, with tickets for the highly-anticipated match selling out in five minutes.

Bitter rivals India and Pakistan rarely play each other on the cricket field, but when they do there is an unparalleled thirst for tickets.

Pakistan vice-captain Salman Ali Agha made it clear that winning one game wouldn’t matter if Pakistan wouldn’t be able to lift the trophy.

The elite one-day international (ODI) tournament’s last winners, Pakistan, are playing host to their first ICC event since the 50-over World Cup in 1996. The world’s top eight men’s teams will compete in the 19-day tournament (February 19 until March 9), which will also see archrivals Pakistan and India face-off in the group stage.

Pakistan will host a first major multi-country cricket tournament in nearly three decades next week and its cricket chief is hopeful that a successful Champions Trophy will bring a flood of other such events.

However, those hopes have turned gloomy, and instead, cricket’s most intensified and passionate rivalry will resume at the Dubai International Stadium, in Dubai. Notably, the archrivals are set to clash on February 23,
