California Gov. Gavin Newsom is making a stop in the Midlands on Tuesday as part of a statewide tour. The South Carolina Democratic Party is hosting a multi-county tour with Newsom across the state on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The state Democratic Party chairwoman said the visit is about "building partnerships, uplifting communities, and showing rural voters they aren't forgotten."
