Daniel Gross, the former chief executive officer and co-founder of artificial intelligence startup Safe Superintelligence Inc., is joining Meta Platforms Inc.’s new superintelligence lab focused on AI.

Meta has launched a new internal R&D division devoted to building artificial superintelligence, Bloomberg reported on Monday.

Meta's AI efforts will now fall under a new unit called "Superintelligence Labs," which will be led by former Scale AI CEO Alexandr Wang.
