Authorities overseeing the search for flood victims in Texas said they will wait to address questions about weather warnings and why some summer camps did not evacuate ahead of the catastrophic flooding.

Former NOAA administrator Rick Spinrad said an NWS vacancy could have been why some people didn't receive flood warnings.

"The reason the Texans had no idea that a giant flash-flood that killed 20 plus people was going to be coming to them was because the Trump regime has defunded not only the National Weather Service but also what’s known as NOAA … both of those things are how we predict weather events like these," the video’s narrator said.

Forecasts and warnings largely worked during the recent flooding catastrophe in Texas. Those systems are expected to degrade as President Donald Trump’s cuts to the National Weather Service, satellite
