He showed up under Cecil's orders and told them to shut the machine off, and the Mauler twins that everyone here loves defending escalated the situation before Angstrom could explain things to Mark.

Aug 4, 2023 · So years of cloning on the weekly and making better bodies every iteration have lead us to a scientific plateu. The Mauler twins have likely cloned the current iteration without noticible (to them) change in the 8 months of the first story.

The Mauler Twins are as I gather a mad scientist and his clone or likely just clones of clones of clones whose main motivation is insane science experiments no government of research facility would approve of...however this makes no sense because Cecil and other rogue government agencies fund crazy research projects CONSTANTLY in the invincible universe.

I agree, and I'm confused as to why the Mauler Twins haven't tried to create a clone army in the past. Obviously time and resources are a consideration, but your logic is sound. Build an underground warehouse full of clone-vats, and upload a single Mauler's consciousness to them all at the same time.
